In addition to certified particle size reference materials, many instrument manufacturers also introduce general reference materials (working standards), which are used to verify the repeatability, reproducibility and even accuracy of the instrument, and to verify the signal value on each photodetector. Verify the disperser effect, conduct test training, etc.
The particle size of this standard material is mostly widely distributed, which is closer to the actual sample, so it has practical significance.
Samples used as general granular materials require stable physical and chemical properties, good dispersion, good hydrophilicity, and resistance to moisture absorption. In addition, general particle size reference materials should be packed in glass bottles and sealed and stored at normal room temperature.
