In the preparation of vitamin C tablets, the quality of vitamin C tablets produced with different prescriptions varies. Therefore, in order to save costs during the production process and comply with national regulations, it is necessary to conduct quality inspections on semi-finished products and finished products with different prescriptions. Comparisons were made through several aspects such as particle fluidity, particle size distribution, particle hygroscopicity, tablet disintegration, hardness and friability.
In the quality inspection of semi-finished and finished products of vitamin C tablets, the particle size distribution measurement method is: use an industrial sieve with apertures of 960 μm (20 mesh), 450 μm (40 mesh), and 300 μm (60 mesh) to analyze the particle distribution, and take the average of three times value. Place 100g of particles on the top layer of the standard sieve, place it on the oscillator and oscillate at 800r/min for 5 minutes. Distribute the particles above 9600 μm, 960-450 μm and below 300 μm and weigh them. Calculate the percentage of particles of different sizes.
According to which prescription has more large particles with a particle size distribution range greater than 960 μm, and which prescription has more small particles less than 300 μm. What percentage of different prescriptions account for medium particles between 300-960 μm can be used to determine what kind of prescription is both cost-saving and highly effective, and can also determine whether it can meet tableting needs.
It can be seen that in the preparation of vitamin C tablets, particle size detection has become an important consideration standard for its finished and semi-finished products, and laser particle size detection has gradually become the most important detection method in the vitamin C production industry.
