Tailings refer to the waste slag and slag discharged by mining enterprises after the completion of mineral processing. They are mostly discharged in the form of slurry, which accumulates over time to form a tailings reservoir. The tailings pond occupies a large area and poses safety risks. In addition, the tailings water rich in mineral processing chemicals in the tailings pond penetrates into the ground, causing great pollution to the environment and groundwater. Therefore, the treatment of ore dressing tailings is a major issue facing mine producers.
When the tailings pond supernatant fails to meet the discharge standards, it will have a certain impact on environmental pollution and should be further processed. Commonly used treatment methods are: ① Lime neutralization method and roasted dolomite adsorption method can be used to remove heavy metals. To remove 1 mg of copper, 0.81 mg of lime is required, and to remove 1 mg of nickel, 0.88 mg of lime is required, and the pH is required to be controlled above 8.5. The adsorption of roasted dolomite with a particle size of less than 0.1 mm can remove copper and lead ions. It takes 25 mg of dolomite to remove 1 mg of copper, and 2.5 mg of dolomite to remove 1 mg of lead. ② The ore adsorption method is used to remove the flotation agent. The lead-zinc ore can be used to adsorb the organic flotation agent. To remove 1 mg of organic flotation agent, 200 mg of lead-zinc ore is required.
Therefore, detecting tailings particle size distribution is particularly important for protecting the environment. This time, Winner2008 is recommended for customers to measure tailings powder samples.
