1. How many samples are needed for a particle size analysis?
Wet method: about 1 gram of dry powder sample, less fine powder can be used, and more coarse powder should be used. Liquids depend on their concentration;
Dry method: no less than 100 grams of dry powder sample, less fine powder can be used, and more coarse powder should be used;
Static testing: If your particles are very rare and valuable, static testing is more appropriate. Static testing requires only 1 mg of sample.
2. How to adjust the concentration?
The LCD screen displays the particle concentration at any time during the test, so the sample volume can be adjusted at any time to keep the concentration in the optimal range. The so-called optimal range refers to the particle concentration range in which the laser does not scatter multiple times. The test results have good repeatability and accuracy within this range. Different materials and different fineness distributions have different optimal concentrations.
