According to the cylindrical pore model, the first person to realize the calculation of mesopore distribution was C.G.Shull (1948), and later there were the B.J.H. method, C.M method and D.H method.
Theworking equation of the D.H method is:
If the third term on the right side of the formula is removed, the B.J.H working equation is obtained;
If the surface area and length on the right side of the formula are symbolized as volume terms, so that the second and third terms can be combined, the C.I working equation is obtained; if the volume and length in the formula are symbolized as surface area terms, the C.M. working equation is obtained.
Later, there was the deBoer method based on the parallel plate model, and the "model-free" method (M-L method). In fact, the "model-free method" still has a model when calculating the pore structure parameters. However, this method later developed into micropore analysis. M-P method.
At present, most automatic adsorption instruments use the B.J.H. method for calculation.
