The preparation of pharmaceutical powders/granules is to crush the pharmaceutical raw materials to a sufficient fineness to improve the dissolution of the drug, which is beneficial to the extraction of active ingredients or to increase the dispersion of the drug and facilitate uniform mixing. Therefore, medicinal powder technology plays an important role in promoting the field of medicine. The particle size of pharmaceutical powder is directly related to the dissolution rate of the drug. For example, for medical aerosol drug delivery to the respiratory tract, the deposition location of aerosol particles depends on the size of the particles. Only particles smaller than 1 micron can be easily inhaled into the alveoli.
